Worn in the 1950's by a photographer's model of the day. This dress was described in the newspaper as "..a magnificent crinoline gown with 2000 pearls on the lace top." I doubt the pearls are real, more like translucent beads which catch the light! It is ivory with a pale pink and ivory lace. The dress has been stored for almost 70 years and has some sign of wear and some stains, which are shown in the last 3 photos. The dress originally had a hoop for the crinoline effect, this no longer exists. This could be repurposed into another beautiful gown or even used for fancy dress. Difficult to ascertain exact size but small, waist is 22"
