This work was inspired by Eastern European folk tales and ethnic costumes.

It depicts a motif that looks like the Trojan Horse, which appears in the epic poem "Iliad."

The vivid pink of Rose Vif stands out against the white background, and the flower and heart motifs are also lovely.

It would also be wonderful framed.

Purchased in like-new condition from a major pawn shop that has been authenticated.

This is a beautiful item with no feeling of use.

Is what is depicted on this carré the Trojan Horse, famous for being devised by the resourceful Ulysses, who hid the Greek forces inside and successfully infiltrated the enemy camp?
